About Us

The club meets in The Village Inn in the village of Pitlessie by Cupar in the Kingdom of Fife every Tuesday evening at 5.45pm for 6.15pm.

Our members will guarantee you a friendly warm welcome. Rotarians and friends or partners have an open invitation to visit us if you are in the area.

The Club was chartered in 1990 and today has eight of its founding members out of a current total of 33. Our membership is mainly spread across a dozen villages in the Howe from Newburgh to Falkland to Springfield via Auchtermuchty with a sprinkling of farmers and some Cuparians for added measure.

The Club plays an active role in local community life, with our Citizen of the Year award, sponsorship of RYLA, Euroscola and the Primary School Quiz. We have recently set up closer links with each of the thirteen Community Councils within our area. Our popular Annual Lecture has been given for many years by a wide variety of interesting speakers.

We enjoy our various fundraising activities, which centre on our successful potato sales events, which local people look forward to every December. We are strong Foundation supporters and have made significant contributions to local and international charities over the years including most recently Maggie's Centres and the Microbank Initiative.

For a relatively small club, we punch well above our weight in the wider Rotary world, with an Assistant Governor, Extension Officer as well as Past District Governor David Rankin in our membership.
